New Power Rangers Movie Teases Dinozords

It looks like the new Power Rangers will be getting a little help from some old friends. Forget about those new Power Ranger suits, it’s time to focus on their new zords! In a little over 6 months, the world will be introduced to a whole new team of Power Rangers, but surprisingly enough there’s still a lot we don’t know about the movie. We know it will feature mostly unknown, up-and-coming actors alongside such veterans as Bryan Cranston and Elizabeth Banks and they will be wearing some new suits that look like they could have come from the mind of Robert Downey Jr’s, “Iron Man and now, thanks to some new posters, we know the Rangers will be utilizing their signature “Zords” in the film. For those of you unfamiliar with all things Power Rangers, “Zords” are giant robots that each individual Ranger controls to help them fight various monsters that also join forces to create one giant “Megazord”. The “Zords” have come in various shapes and sizes throughout the numerous Power Rangers incarnations, but from these new posters, it looks like this new team will be utilizing upgraded versions of the “Dinozords” seen in the original series. While all of the posters showcase each Ranger alongside their respective zords, many just look like giant mechs. There are two though that tease the fact that we will in fact see “Dinozords” in the film; the Red Ranger and the Blue Ranger. On the Red Ranger’s poster, a tail appears to be protruding from his zord while the Blue Rangers zord is clearly a triceratops. In the original series, the Blue Ranger utilized a Triceratops Dinozord while the Red Ranger’s zord was a T-Rex. As for the others, while not confirmed, the Yellow Ranger’s zord will likely be a saber-toothed tiger, the Pink Ranger will have a Pterodactyl and the Black Ranger will utilize a Mastodon. Power Rangers fans will likely get an even better look at the new Zords at next month’s New York Comic Con. The “Pink Ranger”, Naomi Scott, teased their appearance at this year’s event along with the new poster via Twitter.
