What should I wear to Pilates?
To ensure you feel comfortable throughout your Pilates practice you should wear clothing that is: Form fitting this is especially crucial when practicing Pilates as the instructor will need to see your muscle alignment and form to ensure you are practicing Pilates properly. Yoga bootleg pants or capris are a good option teamed with fitted vests and tees.
Pilates is usually done in either socks or bare feet. Some people find it easier without socks to reduce the risk of slipping, however, socks with grips on the bottom are a great alternative.
A high impact sports bra is not essential in Pilates, however we offer a bamboo yoga bra, which is seamless for added comfort and naturally anti-bacterial. As an alternative we also offer supportive shelf bras within our Yoga Vests.
Avoid zips, buckles and belts as your practice will involve floor work. Bamboo fabrics are a good choice as they are soft on the skin and boast antibacterial qualities to keep you cool, dry and odour free.
