There are two species of the black and white colobus monkey in Kenya; the Guereza (Colobus guereza) also known as the eastern black-and-white colobus, or the Abyssinian black-and-white colobus, found in the highlands & the Angolan Colobus (Colobus angolensis), found in the coastal forests.
The destruction of the forest in the coastal part of Kenya is a major threat facing the Angolan Black and White Colobus Monkey.
